Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) teachers 2016, Longleng unit has appealed the district authority for early release of the four months pending salaries.
In a press release, convenor Lenlong Phom, information & publicity secretary, Bakon Phom and executive member Baulem stated that although the SMA had released the four months’ salary (April to July) on August 10, the responsible authority under Longleng had been silent.
The RMSA unit pointed out that the teachers have been waiting four months, however, the responsible district authority turned a deaf ear and blind eye to their “untold miseries” during the pandemic.
It also expressed disappointment since instead of releasing salaries, they were being fooled with excuses for the delay.
RMSA teachers 2016 Longleng unit has, therefore appealed for early release of its pending salaries failing which the unit warned it would be compelled to take its own course and the responsible department would be “held responsible for any untoward incident.”
