NBA celebrates IDDP

Naga Blind Association (NBA) celebrated “International Day of Disabled Persons” on December 3 at the Visually Impaired Institute, Notun Basti Dimapur. 
A press release by NBA president, K. Yapang Lkr, informed that Naga Blind Association executive member, Wapangla Jamir, while exhorting the students dwelt on the “International Day of Disabled Persons” 2017 international theme “promote and protect the rights and dignity of people with disabilities”. 
She encouraged the students to have confidence and never lose faith, and to be bold to stand up for one’s right. 
Various competitions like solo, musical instruments, best braille reading etc were organised for the children during the celebration “International Day of Disabled Persons”.
The celebration was joined by the students and teachers of Thilixu Baptist Church, wherein sharing, scripture reading, song presentation and gifts to students and instructors of the school were carried out. The day ended with an advent Christmas feast.
