SJC, FAC organise webinars on various topics

St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama (SJC) and Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung organised webinars on various topics on September 3. 

Department of Mathematics in collaboration with IQAC, SJC organised a “national webinar” on the topic, “Real life application of mathematics”.

The webinar was organized through offline and online (Zoom) modes. 

The inaugural session which was chaired by asst. prof., SJC (A) Toshiwapang T Lemtur and dean of Science, SJC (A), Rev. Fr. Peter Solo, delivered the welcome address. 

The first session technical session was chaired by asst. Prof., SJC (A), Chonbeni Yanthan, wherein the resource person, Dr. Pallab Changkakoti asst. professor from Kohima Science College (Autonomous), presented on the topic, “Uses of statistics in our day to day life”.

The second session was chaired by SJC (A), Jakhama asst. Professor, Dzuvino Judith Kuotsu. 

The resource person for the session was Lhilo Kenye, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad who spoke on “The essence of mathematics in computer science and information technology.” 

The webinar was organized in tune with the College and its tradition for pursuit of quality education in the field of higher education in the state and in the region. 

FAC Mokokchung: Department of philosophy and IQAC of Fazl Ali College organised two webinars on different topics. 

A webinar on the topic, “Talk on Indigenous Philosophy” with Dr. Karilemla, asst. prof. department of Philosophy at SavitribaiPhule Pune University as guest speaker. The session was moderated by Dr. Bendanginla, asst. Prof. department of Philosophy. 

Around 50 faculty members participated in the webinar. Meanwhile, IQAC of the college organised another webinar on the topic “Green Campus Policy” with Amba Jamir, senior consultant, sustainable landscapes and restoration WRi India, executive director SDFN, VP IMI, board member NESFAS as speaker where 54 faculty members attended the session.
