KVC bans various activities

Khriezephe Village Council (KVC) has adopted an eight-point resolution to be implemented within its jurisdiction.

In a press release, KVC head GB Lhoudielie Seyie, secretary VCS Ruokuokholie Rupreo and VCC Jonah informed that the village council has resolved to ban the sale of alcohol and impose a fine of Rs. 2000 if anyone was caught selling alcohol.

The council also completely banned hunting and fishing; work on Sunday including shops and a case against anyone found robbing in the village area as per customary law.

KVC has also resolved to impose a fine of Rs. 2000 if any villager was found drinking and disturbing the villagers. The village council also resolved to banish anyone involved in “rape, murder and suicide” from the village jurisdiction. 

KVC would also take action against any outsider found disturbing the villagers.

Further, the council informed that new action committee would be led by the VCM.
