New SPUNER building to be set up for NE states in Delhi

In order to re-activate contacts with North Eastern Bhawans, a meeting via video conference was held under the chairmanship of additional commissioner police, Special Police Unit of North Eastern Region (SPUNER) Delhi Police, Hibu Tamang.

In a press release, deputy director PRO, Nagaland House, New Delhi, Kuolie Mere informed that while speaking at the meeting, commissioner police SPUNER informed that a new building for SPUNER would be set up at Nanakpura and that Delhi police had recruited around 1100 personnel from North Eastern states.

He disclosed that the personnel would be deputed especially in areas where North Eastern people were residing in high in numbers.

Hibu Tamang thanked the officials from all the Bhawans for acting proactively to provide help to North Eastern people landing in Delhi.

He also acknowledged the good coordination between SPUNER and state Bhawans during the pandemic.

Hibu Tamang also advised all the Bhawans to keep in touch with SPUNER for security related issues when required.

Additional chief secretary & chief resident commissioner, Jyoti Kalash, Joyti Kalash, joint resident commissioner, Sarita Yadav and deputy resident commissioner Nagaland house Delhi, Wennyei Konyak attended the conference.
