Assam Rifles interact with GBs; hold medical camp

Assam Rifles, Tuensang Battalion, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North), conducted Gaon Bhuda Mela in Mon on September 10.

According to PRO HQ IAGR (N), chairperson, head GBs and village guard heads from villages of remote villages of Monyakshu, Mienchangle, Changlangshu, Pessao, Changsa and Bumei were invited at the mela where issues related to security situation along border, various ongoing development projects and COVID related situation were discussed. 

All village heads were appraised in detail regarding efforts of Assam Rifles and their contribution towards growth and development villages in areas of education, health, infrastructure, employment opportunities and skill development programmes. 

A total of 40 GBs and chair persons attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Assam Rifles Ghaspani battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North), organised health check up camp under the theme “Stay Fit Stay Healthy” at New Chumukedima, Vihoku, Tsiphema, Jotsoma and Zubza villages, on September 11.

According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), apart from medical check up, awareness against Covid -19, distribution of masks and medicines to patients with illnesses were conducted.
