
Kohima Village Council (KVC) has assured full support to the chief minister and the state government and smooth execution of all developmental activities under its jurisdiction.
In a statement, KVC chairman Helievio Solo and information secretary Thejao Sekhose acknowledged that the present government under chief minister Neiphiu Rio under has initiated various developmental projects in the capital city Kohima like expansion of NH-150 and proposed Kohima bypass roads, two-lane bridge over Sanuorü river and the Kohima Smart City project which was nearing completion.
KVC conveyed its commitment and welcome any kind of developmental work in the capital, most areas of Kohima town fall within the ancestral land.
The council also appealed to every individual/organization to give earnest support to the government in the execution of all developmental activities.
It further warned that the council would not tolerate anyone hampering any developmental projects, or hinder the progress of any governmental activity under its jurisdiction.
