
All Nagaland PWD Field Workers’ Association (R&B) housing and NH Peren unit has demanded that the verification of work-charged employees be carried out in fair manner and correction of employee details be done as per the Aadhaar and personal physical declaration.
In a representation to engineer-in-chief, NPWD, the ANPWDFWA Peren unit president, Kunam Hegeu and secretary, Temsu Ao stated that the work-charges employees have been serving in the department with full sincerity and devotion, however alleged that “step-motherly treatment by the government and the department” has put their future in dilemma due to physical verification by various government agencies on several occasions.
They claimed that during the verification drive most of the genuine work-charges employees both scale and fixed has been placed into ‘B’ ‘C’ & ‘D’ categories, and for which they are again going to be verified by the verification committee.
The unit also alleged that details of work-charge employees such as name of the employees, father name, date of birth, date of joining into the services were wrongly uploaded in the database of the PIMS.
In view of the above, the unit cautioned that in the event of termination of any of its genuine employees after the physical verification, the department will be held responsible.
The unit further warned that failure to comply with their demand they will resort to democratic agitation which may be aggressive and violent.
In this connection, the unit has sought the support of ANPWDFWA central unit for any activities or eventualities that may happen or arise out of the verification process.
