
Advisor, department of power, H. T ovihoto Ayemi, Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI), NSCN (R) and Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) have expressed grief over the demise of senior journalist and president of Dimapur Press Club (DPC) K. Filip Sumi who passed away on Friday.
Tovihoto Ayemi: H. Tovihoto Ayemi expressed deep saddens over the untimely demise of Filip Wotsa who was closely associated with him as an official press secretary since past many years.
“I have known him to be a soft spoken individual with good humane quality and for which he was loved by one and all” Tovihoto said.
Stating that his contribution in the field of journalism was always appreciated, the advisor described him as a distinct and articulate writer and that his passing was great loss not only to the family members but to all who were associated with him.
“Filip is no longer with us but his good qualities will be cherished forever in our hearts”, the advisor said. He said that it was a sad day for the press fraternity and a big loss for him as he was gone too soon however, his sincere dedication towards his work would always remain. Tovihoto extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
CNCCI: Expressing pain to learn of the demise of Filip Wotsa, CNCCI described late Filip as an enthusiastic, committed and seasoned journalist who dedicatedly worked for the fraternity and for the upliftment of Naga society.
In a condolence message, CNCCI chairman Dr. Khekugha Muru and general secretary Dr. Seyievilie Mor said that CNCCI was associated with him on many occasions and his contribution towards the confederation would always be cherished and the vacuum created by his demise would be hard to fill.
CNCC1 conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
NSCN (R): NSCN (Reformation) has expressed immeasurable pain over the sudden demise of the Filip Sumi who it said was one of “Naga’s potential and promising figure”.
Stating that the press fraternity was one of the most important part of any society, NSCN (R) said that the fraternity in particular and Nagas in general had lost a very fine gentleman who contributed his selfless sacrifices and gave his all, to the society he loved and belonged to. While maintaining that he had left a legacy for his wife, children, families and friends to cherish, the group prayed that God would provide solace and comfort to his loved ones.
YAN: Youth Association of Nagaland has expressed deep saddens over the sudden demise of Filip Wotsa.
Describing him as a journalist who always stood in the forefront when it came to welfare and wellbeing of media fraternity in the state, YAN expressed profound grief and conveyed its deepest sympathies to the family. It prayed that God would grant them strength to bear the irreparable loss during this difficult time.
