Sensitisation programme on scholarship scheme held in Noklak

SDEO Office, Noklak organised a sensitisation programme on scholarship scheme, sponsored by Directorate of School Education (DoSE), in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC), Noklak on September 16. 

According to a DIPR report, while speaking at the programme, DC Noklak Hiazu Meru advised the teachers to stay updated and know what was happening around them. He also advised them to be well-equipped and to update their skills.

Seeing the economic challenges in the district, Hiazu said that this was an important scheme for students of the district.

He pointed out that many parents and students might not be aware of the schemes and hence requested the teachers to reach out to all the eligible students.

Meanwhile, UDA (scholarship), Jangsemba Tsudir spoke on guidelines & criteria on scholarship.

He informed that the objective of scholarship, pre-matric scholarship schemes for minorities and schedule tribe students of IX and X was to encourage parents to send their children to school and lighten financial burden.

Jangsemba also emphasised on networking system, banking and Aadhaar cards where everything was online and digital.

In his PowerPoint presentation, special educator, Zurhetho Nyuthe explained how to apply scholarship through online mode for both fresh and renewals.

He advised trainees to read all the guidelines properly before applying online. Zurhetho Nyuthe also mentioned on pre-matric scholarship scheme for minorities and pre-matric scholarship for scheduled tribe students studying in class IX and X.

The programme was chaired by sub-divisional education officer W. Nzanbemo Humtsoe and vote of thanks was delivered by sub-inspector of school, Noklak B. Ngon.

More than 44 trainees attended the training from both government and private schools under Noklak district.
