
A special investigation team (SIT) headed by SDPO (HQ) Mokokchung Chuba Chang has been constituted to probe the death of a lady, whose body was found on September 14.
According to SP Mokokchung, a complaint was received at Police Station-II Mokokchung about woman having gone missing on September 14. A search was conducted by police and the body discovered near district jail Mokokchung. The victim’s body was identified by the husband, police said.
In this connection, a murder case was registered at Women Police Station, Mokokchung and an SIT was formed. Further investigation is on.
ENWO Mkg unit condemns murder: Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation (ENWO) Mokokchung unit has vehemently condemned the brutal murder of Ester Phom, whose body was found on September 14.
In a condemnation note, ENWO Mokokchung unit president Mandang Phom and T. Tushila Yimkhiung stated that such dastard and barbaric act was beyond comprehension and did not hold any place in the society. The unit appealed law enforcing authorities to investigate and apprehend the culprit at the earliest and award befitting punishment. The unit has conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family and hoped that justice would be brought soon.
