Pranabananda Women’s College (PWC) department of English organised a national on “translation: authentic representation in dialectical originality” on September 16.
In a press release, PWC informed that resource person assistant professor Northeast Christian University Dimapur Dr. H Salome Kinny spoke on “language and translation: Naga context” with a detailed information on dynamics of language and its usages.
Resource person, Dr. Sudeesh K talked on “decoding abhignanasakuntalam in English: questions of translation, history and culture”. The programme was chaired by assistant professor, department of English, Rupa Dutta, welcome address was delivered by HoD, department of English, Krishna Bhattacharjee and vote of thanks by assistant professor, department of English, Sanjukta Bhattacharjee.
