
Representatives from the state level monitoring team, commissioner & secretary, higher & technical education, W. Honje Konyak and deputy director, NSACS, Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir held a meeting with District Task Force (DTF) for COVID-19, Mon and civil society organisations (CSOs) in the conference room of the DC on September 17.
According to a DIPR report, Honje Konyak said the purpose of state level team was to intensively review and guide DTF and health workers on the challenges.
He informed that the team visited Tobu and Aboi where they had interactive meetings with stakeholders and were satisfied with the performance. Honje informed that the team would also visit Naginimora and Tizit on September 18.
He acknowledged DTF Mon for performing well in all the parameters in the management and containment of the pandemic.
He, however, warned the members not to be complacent and be prepared in case of a third wave.
Meanwhile, deputy director, NSACS, Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir thanked every section of the society involved in saving lives during the pandemic.
She stated that Mon was one of the best performing districts in the state and assured the task force that the team would be available anytime to stand for the district and continue the good work.
The monitoring team thoroughly reviewed the strategies and coverage of testing and vaccination which was highlighted through PowerPoint presentations by members of the medical team.
The monitoring team resolved to take forward the challenges faced by DTF to the state level with hope that with further guidance and support, the district’s performance would enhance in all parameters.
The meeting was attended by members of the DTF Mon, officers from various departments and representatives from KU, KNSK and KSU.
