Former special director of the Intelligence Bureau, AK Mishra and the NSCN (I-M) leadership led by Th. Muivah are all set to meet on Monday morning at Police complex, Chümoukedima.
Mishra, who is also the advisor (North East) in the Home ministry, will hold formal talks with NSCN (I-M) leadership led by its ato kilonser and chief negotiator Th. Muivah.
It was learnt that on Sunday, both Mishra and Muivah held an informal talk ahead of Monday’s formal meeting.
Though, Mishra is also likely to meet the Working Committee of the seven NNPGs, the date and time was yet to be made known.
After Mishra’s meeting, Assam chief minister and convenor of the North East Democratic Alliance Himanta Biswa Sarma, who would be arriving Dimapur on September 21, will hold meetings with both the negotiating groups. Though it was not clear about the role of Sarma, it may be recalled that Union Home minister Amit Shah, in 2020, tasked Sarma to get everyone on board before a final agreement was inked over the protracted Naga issue.
Meanwhile, as reported, UDA legislators are also scheduled to meet Mishra.
