
Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in collaboration with Tizü Valley Biodiversity Conservation and Livelihood Network (TVBCLN), Zunheboto, organised a one day “1st Farmer’s Market Meet 2021”, with special focus on traditional agriculture, in Zunheboto on September 22.
The meet was graced by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo as special guest.
According to DIPR, speaking at the inaugural programme, DC congratulated the event organizers for successfully materialising their project by holding such event in the district.
On observing huge stocks of organic products and keen participation from the farmers, the DC was optimistic that the vision of self-sustainable Agri farming would be achievable.
He also thanked the farmers for making themselves available with abundant products and encouraged them to continue with the traditional agriculture farming.
While delivering the keynote address, Sidharth elaborated that the vision of the project was to focus on traditional agriculture farming and to provide a platform to the farmers. The programme was chaired by Ivan Jimomi.
