Training on empowering farmers held

Empowered farmer – empowered society training was held on September 20 at Jungyam Fisheries near AYUSH hospital, Noklak with President of India awardee, Dharamveer Kamboj as the resource person.

According to DIPR report, speaking at the training, Dharamveer encouraged the farmers to be self-reliant and learn division of labour like farmers for farming and Self Help Group (SHG) for food processing and marketing. 

He emphasized on good packaging, laboratory analysis and branching and urged upon the farmers to preserve their biodiversity and traditional knowledge of farming and agriculture. Dharamveer also trained farmers on food processed products.

Deputy Commissioner, Noklak Hiazu Meru and Superintendent of Police, Noklak Dr. Pritpal Kaur also spoke during the training.
