Nagaland has received another 11 PSA oxygen plants under PM’s Cares fund in addition to the four plants received earlier.
Sources from the health and family welfare (H&FW) department told Nagaland Post that with the additional PSA plant, bigger PSA plants would be installed in district hospitals while smaller ones would be re-located to CHCs according to the population.
They said that even if PSA plants were installed, uninterrupted power supply was required. Therefore, sources said the department has tasked the power department to conduct the survey to install transformers with all the accessories and other requirements. Accordingly, it was informed that the power department conducted the survey and responded to execute the work once the project amount (over Rs. 4 crore) was sanctioned.
H&FW department has reportedly prepared and submitted the detailed project report (DPR) to the government for release of the said amount.
Official sources from the power department told Nagaland Post that once the department received the project amount, it would immediately execute the work in all the 13 sites, which would take about one month to complete. Altogether, the state has received 15 PSA plants from PM’s cares fund while 12 were received from various agencies including foreign agencies.
The 13 sites where transfers are to be installed included NHAK Kohima 250 KVA, DH Mokokchung 200 KVA, DH Phek KVA, Yachem CHC (Longleng) 100 KVA, DH Peren 100 KVA, CHC Jalukie Peren 100 KVA, CHC Noklak 100 KVA, CHC Pungro (Kiphire) 63 KVA, CHC Meluri Phek 63 KVA, CHC Bhandari Wokha 63 KVA, CHC Aghunato Zunheboto 63 KVA and CHC Pfutsero Phek 63 KVA.
