DBS mourns demise of Prof. Dutta

Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) has mourned the demise of Prof. and HoD, Dept of Bengali, Dimapur Government College, Debasish Dutta (Retd), who passed away on September 25 at Nursing Home in Guwahati. 

In a condolence note, DBS stated that late Dutta joined Dimapur College as a lecturer in the year 1969 and served the society in multiple ways. He was chief advisor of Dimapur Bengali Samaj and did a lot to promote art culture and literature in Nagaland and the North East. He was also one of the founders of cultural organizations like Sanskrti Parishad and the renowned NANDANIK and Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan, served as the first president of the Ram Krishna Sevashram, Dimapur and an active member of Dimapur Kalibari Committee. 

Dimapur Bengali Samaj conveyed condolences to late Prof. Dutta family and extended sympathy and comfort to the family members at the sad times.
