Vax drive, campaign conducted in Wokha, Dimapur

Wokha Biker’s Group under the aegis of District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19 launched a COVID-19 vaccination awareness campaign at the office of the deputy commissioner Wokha on September 27. 

A press release from the chief medical officer’s (CMO) office, Wokha informed that while launching the campaign, CMO Dr. CW Tungoe acknowledged the district administration for their constant support during the vaccination and random testing.

Dr. Tungoe said that Wokha had crossed 50,000 doses of vaccination but maintained that there was still lot more to do.

Meanwhile, SDO (C) Wokha Chonpenthung Ezung lauded the bikers for taking the challenge to travel to far flung areas.

Chonpenthung expressed optimism that through the campaign, vaccination intake would increase during the special COVID-19 vaccination drive which would be held in the first week of October across the district. 

Wokha Biker’s Group informed that they would address vaccine hesitancy issue and also distribute information, education and communication materials on vaccination in Lotha and English to villagers. 

It may be mentioned that the bikers would cover villages with low vaccination coverage during their vaccination awareness campaign in the district from September 27 to September 30.

Dimapur: Valley View Colony Council (VVCC), Dimapur in collaboration with Health & Wellness Center, Thilixu conducted a COVID-19 vaccination drive on September 27 at the premises of the Valley View Sumi Baptist Akükuhou.

In a press release, VVCC secretary Hupeka Jakha Khujumi informed that the vaccination drive was led by Aguonuo Tepa, CHO, H&WC Thilixu and team. Altogether, 100 beneficiaries were vaccinated with the second dose of the vaccine.
