Educational institutes: Kronu said that the HPC has also decided to allow opening of all educational institutions, including pre-primary levels from November 1, if the overall Covid-19 situation improved. As informed earlier, he said reopening of schools from October 1 for classes 5 to 10 still stands.
Gatherings allowed: Religious/worship places, sports activities and other mass gatherings have been allowed to operate with 100 per cent capacity, subjected to strict adherence of the laid down SOPs and Covid appropriate behaviour.
Night curfew: HPC has also decided to relax the night curfew by one hour and would be in force from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
As per Unlock 7, shops will remain open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., while trains and entry gates will continue to be monitored at Dimapur.
Hornbill Festival: Even as the state government plans to hold the annual Hornbill Festival, HPC will be holding discussions with the Health and Tourism department on how to conduct the festival.
Further, entry of tourists have also been allowed, provided they are vaccinated against Covid-19 or have taken the first dose of vaccine at least 15 days prior to their entry.
