
State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) Tuesday hiked petrol price by 20 paise per litre and diesel by 25 paise per litre. This is the first price increase in petrol in more than two months and the fourth in case of diesel.
After today’s rate revision, petrol price in Dimapur rose to Rs.99.93 per litre from Rs.99.72 per litre while diesel price climbed to Rs.91.69 per litre from 91.44 per litre.
In the state capital Kohima, petrol and diesel prices soared to Rs.100.93 per litre and Rs.92.50 per litre respectively. According to PTI report, the increase followed international oil prices rising for the fifth consecutive day and global benchmark Brent heading for USD 80 per barrel.
