SVEEP awareness programme held at Meluri

Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SWEEP) awareness programme was held at Meluri on Monday.

Accortding to a DIPR report, the programme was jointly organised by district administration and higher secondary schools of Meluri: Government Higher Secondary School, Christian Mission School and St. Xavier Higher Secondary School.

The students of three schools with placards and banners marched and gathered at traffic point.

During the programme, SXHSS principal, Father Tommy dwelt on the importance of one’s vote and said that voting for the right candidate and electing the right leader could bring enormous changes in the society. 

Earlier, ADC Meluri, Fürhesie Nyuwi chaired the programme while each school presented skits on Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation.
