ICFAI conducts 4th Day orientation programme

ICFAI University Nagaland conducted its 4th day orientation program for post-graduate students, school of humanities and social sciences on October, with Dr Lanusangla Tzudir, Publisher, Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur as its chief guest.  A press release from, ICFAI University Nagaland, assistant professor Dr. Kevizonuo Kuolie stated that delivering welcome address IUN vice chancellor 

Dr. A.K. Verma, spoke on the importance of translating ideas into actions, from concept planning to its realization. He highlighted on space technology, its functioning and process, and its impact in the society. He also exhorted the student community to undertake their intellectual journey with dedication, patience and joy.The chief guest in his speech, Dr. Tzudir, raised the concern for institutions and the academia to build a foundation of strong and sound methodology in learning, particularly in Humanities and Social Sciences. She encouraged the students to get involved in the process of decolonizing the mind in order to cultivate an insider’s perspective as required in the deconstruction, reconstruction and construction of one’s identity. She urged the students to be interjectors and reflect on the present system, critically and constructively and to strive towards effective leadership and responsible citizenship.

The program was also graced by Dr. Manoj Sharma, Scientist-G and Additional Director of Solid State Physics Laboratory in Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), New Delhi as the Guest of Honour and Dr. Rajesh Uppal as the Distinguished Guest who is the Director/Founder of International Defense Security Technology Inc., California, Director/Founder of USISTS and Former Director, System Analysis, Safety, Quality and Reliability, DRDO. Dr. Sharma spoke on the significance of the Humanities and Social Sciences and their roles in bringing positive change for the well-being of human beings. Dr. Uppal also spoke on the need to nurture technologically-driven sustainable goals and exhorted the students to develop ideas for a sustainable society. 

The program was chaired by assistant professor in the department of English, Sentilemla Lemtur, Kunungoyi Chizo presented a musical piece while Dr. Imtinungsang Jamir gave a power-point presentation of ICFAI Society and ICFAI University Nagaland.
