ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema Nagaland organised a three-day training programme on “implementation of scientific managemental practices in Mithun farming for doubling farmers’ income”, at Lairam Phungka, Kamjong, Manipur, from September 28 to 30.
A press release from ICAR-NRC informed that the objective of the training programme was to create awareness and importance on implementing scientific Mithun farming for doubling income. Animal health camp was also conducted, where 50 Mithun were vaccinated against Food and Mouth Disease (FMD), while Veterinary medicines were also distributed to Mithun farmers. Farmers further got the opportunity to learn and solve problem regarding breeding, reproduction, health, feeding etc., during training programme. 65 Mithun farmers from Lairam Phungka, Lairam Khullen, Kasom Khullen, Khamlang, Mawai and Kangkum villages of Kamjong district attended the programme, whereby the programme was coordinated by Drs. Sapunii S Hanah, L Sunitibala Devi and Kobu Khate.
