CRBC conducts ‘prayer walk’

Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) conducted a “prayer walk” on October 2 under the theme “Heal our Land” (2 Chronicles 7:14) starting from Kasha Toupe Peace Treaty Monolith at Bosta and Tseminyu Subdivision boundary to Rengma-Lotha border, Wokha district boundary.

A press release by CRBC stated that the walk started with a prayer by CRBC executive secretary, Rev. Haiwalo Apon who remarked, “our land is spiritually sick and needs healing from various aspects of our community life.”

Rev. Apon said the purpose of the prayer walk was not to demonstrate but to acknowledge God’s supremacy and lordship over people’s lives so that one must be humble and seek God.

During the walk, mass prayers were conducted in all village junctions and at Tseminyu Town. The council staff and together with church workers and leaders of 21 churches along the NH-2 highway participated in the prayer walk.
