Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) held a candlelight protest against the alleged killing of farmers by the son of union minister of state for home affairs at Lakhimpur Kheri Uttar Pradesh on October 4.
In a press release, NPCC minority department informed that the protestors marched from super market to Dimapur Congress Bhavan.
During the protest, NPCC minority department chairman, Rajesh Kumar Sethi addressed the gathering at Congress Bhavan about the incident at Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, behaviour of UP police with Priyanka Gandhi and arrests without any warrants.
During the march, protestors raised slogans such as “Narendra Modi Kisan Virodhi”, “Desh Ko Bachana Hai” “Modi & Bhajpa Ko Bhagana Hai”, “Yogi Sarkar Hai Hai”. Various Congress organisations comprising of NSUI, IYC, Seva Dal, Kisan Cell, Dimapur DCC and minority department participated in the candlelight protest.
