Nagaland governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi and deputy chief minister Y Patton have extended greetings to the Khiamniungans and Pochurys on the occasion of Tsokum and Yemshe festivals respectively.
In his message, said Tsokum festival has the underlying essence of promoting unity, peace and harmony. He said Yemshe was a harvesting festival and the Pochury community rejoices in the fruit of their hard work during this time.
Governor called for safeguarding and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas inherently reflected in our festivals. In his message, Patton said that both festivals were celebrated in thanksgiving to the creator for the year’s harvest.
