Kohima DPDB recommends upgradation of Tseminyu sub-div

Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has recommended the upgradation of Tseminyu sub-division to that of Tseminyu district to the state government for consideration.

According to an official bulletin, the decision was made at monthly DPDB meeting held in the conference hall of DPDB Kohima on October 4, 2021 under the chairmanship of DPDB chairman and advisor for technical education and election, Medo Yhokha.

At the meeting, advisor, V&AH and women resources, R Khing and ADC Tseminyu, W. Manpai Phom highlighted Rengma tribe’s demand for upgradation of Tseminyu sub-division to Tseminyu district and the key data records of the sub-division to the house. 

Other legislators present at the meeting, advisor urban development and municipal affairs Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire and Keneizhakho Nakhro, MLA, and also Angami Public Organisation (APO) vice president, Neivor Rutsa also expressed their support for recommendation of the proposal to the government during the deliberation.

On the agenda for upgradation of primary health centre (PHC) Sechü Zubza to community health centre (PHC), the house decided to recommend the matter to the state government for consideration. DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie also reminded the village adoption committees to initiate and activate the plan process of the adoption activities.
