A 40-member strong NSCN (I-M) delegation left for Delhi on Tuesday to hold talks with Government of India officials.
NSCN (I-M) ato kilonser and chief negotiator Th. Muivah, chairman Q. Tuccu and vice chairman Tongmeth Wangnao including members of the collective leadership were among those who left for Delhi. Muivah along with Tongmeth left by a chartered flight while the other members led by Tuccu left by Indigo flight. As reported, Working Committee of NNPGs team led by N. Kitovi Zhimomi, NSCN (K-Niki) led by its president Niki Sumi were already in Delhi since last week.
The Naga Political Groups are scheduled to hold separate meetings with the Government of India officials during the week.
With talks back on track, sources had said that “we can expect something very soon”.
Delegation of the Core Committee of Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue headed by chief minister Neiphiu Rio are also expected to be in Delhi.
The one-point agenda of the recently formed United Democratic Alliance (UDA) all-party government in Nagaland was to secure political solution, sources had said while also speculating that the Centre was also keen to conclude all issues and negotiations with solution probably by end of 2021.
