In view of Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu’s proposed visit, the Kohima police have issued traffic regulations that would be enforced October 7-9, 2021.
Kohima police informed that on October 7, there would be no parking along 1 AR camp Gate ‘D’ block to Raj Bhavan via TCP Gate, Classic point; TCP Gate to Razhu Point; Razhu point to high school and Classic point to Phesema via Mhonkhola, Lerie.
Bus stand at PHQ junction would be shifted opposite NSF Martyrs Park.
Further, Southern Angami bound taxi stand at network station Mhonkhola would be vacated by 12 noon and district bound buses at network station Phoolbari to depart by 12 noon.
October 8, there would be no parking from Raj Bhavan to Phoolbari; Phoolbari to 1 AR Camp ‘D’ block via DC Office and Phoolbari to state Museum via Razhu point. On October 9, no-parking on roadside from Raj Bhavan to Phoolbari; Phoolbari to Razhu Point and Phoolbari to 1 AR Camp ‘D’ block via DC Office.
Police informed that no heavy vehicle would be allowed to enter/ply within Kohima town from October 7-9 from 6am to 9pm. It also informed that alternate parking facility would be available at Old MLA Hostel Complex, Northern gate via Razhu Point from October 7-9.
