More than 500 Amur Falcons were reportedly sighted flying, when members of Amur Falcon Roosting Area Union (AFRAU) Pangti village were carrying out social work at the Amur Falcon Roosting Area, Tzüza Eryü on October 8.
In a press release, AFRAU president P Thungchumo Shidio said that group of Falcons were seen coming to their roosting site in the evening. A large number of Falcons could be seen hovering in the sky as the sun began to set, Shidio said. The union president informed that the best time to witness the roosting of Amur Falcons was from October 15 to November 20. Shidio said that tourists would arrive to watch roosting of the migratory birds but the road from Doyang Dam-Amur Falcon Roosting Area was in pathetic condition. “It will be highly obliged if the government take concerned about it,” AFRAU president said.
