District hospital Phek celebrates 50th anniversary

District hospital, Phek celebrated its 5oth anniversary at its premises on Friday with Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA as special guest.

According to a DIPR report, in his speech, Azo said that celebration of 50 years was a very significant day where one needs to introspect, retrospect and rededicate for the betterment of the people.

While cautioning the people on COVID-19 and to take preventive measures, he also thanked the healthcare workers for their tireless efoorts.

Meanwhile, Khzhienyi Khalo, MLA appreciated the staff and requested them to continue giving their best in serving the people.

A short speech was also delivered by deputy commissioner (DC) Phek, Razouvolie Dozo.

The function was chaired by CMO Phek Dr. Khriezotuo Paphino, invocation was said by ANS DHP Lodino Yoho and welcome address by MS, district hospital Phek, Dr. Avile Zao. Special song was presented by golden jubilee choir DHP and a brief history of the district hospital was given by SMO Dr. Ngopelo Keviechu.

Later, vote of thanks was proposed by jubilee committee convenor Dr. Wemeri Khutsoh and special prayer for jubilee and feast was said by PTBC pastor, Rev. Dr. Thupuciyi Khesoh.
