Winners of New India @ 75 campaign felicitated in Dimapur

Winners of the New India @75 –Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign were felicitated by the chief medical officer (CMO) and EAC (development) in Dimapur on Friday.

According to a DPRO Dimapur report, after all the entries were received, the screening committee which comprised of deputy CMO and DPO, DAPCU, Dimapur screened and judged the entries received from the students under the three themes: HIV, TB and blood donation.

The competitions were conducted for schools and colleges where under the school category, the competitions included paint your thought (face painting/ mask painting) and voice your thought (spoken word competition).

Under college level, the competitions were conducted on publicize your though (poster making) and film your thought (short video/documentary).

Altogether, 545 youth and 567 adolescents were sensitised on HIV, TB and blood donation in the second phase of the campaign.

Altogether, seven RRC colleges namely and six schools were covered under the second phase.

It may be mentioned that the second phase of the campaign which was virtually launched on October 12 was organised by National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), ministry of health and family welfare government of India.

The district committee under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan and CMO Dimapur, Dr. I. Moatemjen as member secretary launched the second phase campaign at the district level. The campaign was spearheaded by District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DAPCU) and district tuberculosis officer, Dimapur.
