Off-campus trg on promotion of IFS

Extension Education Institute – North East Region (EEI – NER), Assam Agricultural University (AAU) Jorhat in collaboration with State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Nagaland organised an off-campus training programme on “promotion of integrated farming systems (IFS) in Nagaland” from December 7-10.

SAMETI Medziphema informed that the training was aimed at educating ATMA functionaries on creating sustainable livelihood through IFS. Participants were encouraged to work in convergence with agriculture and allied department.

The programme was chaired by director SAMETI, Medziphema & principal IETC Dr Watimongla Jamir, keynote address by resource persons Dr. AK Bhattacharyya, Dr. Chittaranjan Deka and Madhusmita Dutta, faculty staff and team member of EEI-NER Jorhat Assam.
