The Tajenyuba Award for Academic Excellence (TAAE) celebrated its 25th anniversary at Mangmetong village on Monday on the theme “for the nation”.
During the programme, chief guest, S. Lanu Imchen, DIS Mokokchung (retd) congratulated the topper and recipients of the award.
He urged the students to take up more responsibilities and use their God-given talents and gifts to their full potential. He also encouraged the students of Mangmetong village to be skill fitted and self-aware.
It may be mentioned that the Tajenyuba Award for Academic Excellence began in the year 1997 with an aim to motivate students of Mangmetong. The award is initiated under the aegis of Mangmetong Students Union and Tajenyuba Award Trust Committee. Earlier, Talinungsang Imchen from Mangmetong village who received the Tajenyuba Award for Academic Excellence 2021 also delivered a speech. SP Mokokchung, Aotula T. Imchen also attended the programme as guest of honour.
