Christmas: Orgns, church organise outreach

With a purpose to share the spirit of Christmas, organisations and Church carried out various social activities in Dimapur and Kohima. 

NPP state unit minority cell: National People’s Party (NPP) state unit minority cell (non-tribal) with the support of the state parent body conducted an advent Christmas outreach at district hospital, Dimapur on December 19. During the outreach programme, officials and members of the minority cell along with state officials presented more than 100 Christmas gifts to the patients and staff and healthcare workers on duty.

In a press release, NPP state unit informed that earlier, the state women wing also carried out an outreach programme where the members visited the Operation Salvage Rehabilitation Centre in Peren district and distributed ration items to the inmates.

Koinonia Baptist Church: Koinonia Baptist Church held its annual event of distribution of coffee, tea and sticky rice cookies to Kohima-Wokha-Mokokchung bound travelers at National Highway near the Koinonia Prayer Centre Tsiesema on Monday. 

In a press release, Koinonia Baptist Church, media ministry, Kikruneinuo Liezietsu the annual event of the church organised by the youth and junior CYE department saw around 150 volunteers catering to more than 2100   travelers.  Earlier, benediction and thanksgiving prayer was said by pastor Neibalie Kiewhuo.

Matri Foundation: Matri Foundation organised a medical camp for more than 100 families at Choto Lengri, Bhujel Colony, Dimapur on Monday and provided free medicines to the beneficiaries.
