SJC (A) hosts webinar on ‘SWAYAM’

Department of History, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assessment Cell of the college conducted a one- day webinar on the topic “Prospects of SWAYAM for the Present and the Future” on October 30. SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active- Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is an educational programme initiated by the Government of India to make E-Learning accessible to everyone in the country. The webinar was chaired by Capt. Regina Razousinuo, a senior faculty member of the department. 

Principal, Dr. Fr. George Keduolhou Angami, in his welcome address emphasized on the importance of the teaching faculty to be aware about the various aspects and prospects of SWAYAM. The keynote address was delivered by HoD History department, Nzano Kikon.  In the first technical session, resource person, assistant professor, SJC(A), Khrielie-ii Zumvii  talked about the context and purpose of SWAYAM, its objectives and relevance. Resource person for the second technical session was assistant professor, SJC(A), Reimaya Muinao, who emphasized on the implementation process and general acceptance of SWAYAM.
