NNC (PB) flays Myanmar junta action

Naga National Council (Parent Body) has vehemently condemned the “illegal military junta government of Burma (Myanmar)” for their ruthless action of allegedly burning down churches in Chin state. In a press note, NNC (PB) information & publicity wing said that this was a serious threat to the Christian community in Burma and towards all Christians and Christianity as a religion.

“Such acts are completely in violation of International Law and Human Rights.

Also this is sheer challenge to Christianity and christians as a whole,” NNC (PB) said. Stating that this was not the first incident, NNC (PB) called upon all Christian, and those with a clear and right conscience to strongly condemn and take necessary punitive action against the military junta of Myanmar.

NNC (PB) also appealed to “all Christians to pray to our Living God for the protection and strength of our fellow believers to overcome such harsh action of military junta in Myanmar.” It further said that the NNC (PB) supported the legitimate movement of democracy in Myanmar for victory.
