Special summary revision of photo e-roll held in Kohima

A meeting for special summary revision (SSR) of photo electoral roll (e-roll) was held in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC), Kohima on November 1.

According to a DIPR report, ADC Kohima, N. Bhavani Sri highlighted the schedules for special summary revision of photo electoral roll with reference to January 1 as the qualifying date.

The schedule includes publication of integrated draft electoral roll (November 1); period for filing claims & objections (November 1-30); special campaign dates (November 12, 13, 26 and 27); disposal of claims and objections (December 20) and final publication of electoral roll (January 5, 2022)

ADC notified the publications of election roll in draft to the electors of 8 Western Angami, 9 Kohima Town, 10 Northern Angami-I, 11 Northern Angami-II, 12 Tseminyu, 14 Southern Angami-I and 15 Southern Angami-II assembly constituencies that the electoral roll has been prepared in accordance with the registration of electors Rules, 1960, and a copy was available for inspection at the office and at polling station during office hours.

The ADC informed that with reference to the qualifying date, if there were any claim for the inclusion of name in the roll, any objection to the inclusion of name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before the November 30 in Form 6, 6A, 7, 8 or 8A. 

Every such claim or objection should either be presented in office or to the booth level officer or sent by post addressed to the additional deputy commissioner & electoral registration officer, Kohima, N. Bhavani Sri to reach not later than the said date.

Towards the end of the meeting, copies of the draft roll were handed over to representatives of political parties.

Electoral roll distributed in various districts

Dimapur: ADC Dimapur Atokhe Aye handed over the draft electoral roll political party representatives on November 1 at the office of the DC Dimapur.

According to DPRO Dimapur, draft electoral roll for all the five assembly constituencies under Dimapur district has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, where copies were available for inspection in the office of DC Dimapur during office hours.

Tuensang: Electoral roll draft publication was conducted at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang and was chaired by DC and DEO Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant.

Speaking in the programme, Ramnikant encouraged checking doubtful list and urged everyone to put all effort to clean the e-roll for a clean election.

ADC and ERO Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma advised party members to utilise the supervisors and BLOs so that every eligible member could be enrolled in rural areas.

He advised party members to appoint BLA and let the BLA mobilise for complete entry in rural areas. 

The draft publication session was attended by all political parties of the district.

Noklak: Distribution of publication draft electoral roll to the political parties of 56 A/C & 57 A/C was conducted by DC & DEO Noklak, Hiazu Meru at DC’s conference hall, Noklak. 

Hiazu sought for early appointment and submission of PLO names for smooth and quick functioning of work. He also said the work of claim and correction must be clear and submitted in one month’s time. 

Various political parties attended the distribution programme.
