Razeba Public Organization Dimapur Unit (RPODU) observed its general session-cum-thanksgiving programme, at Zhavame Community Building, Sovima village Dimapur on January 13.
According to media team of RPODU, while addressing the session as guest speaker, Parish Priest and Principal, St Joseph Parish Chumoukedima, Rev. Fr. Anthony Rozii Dukru thanked the leaders of RPODU for providing him a platform to share his thoughts with the people from Razeba range residing in Dimapur. He shared that the get-together was a wonderful opportunity to connect, get to know more about one another, unite as one community from Razeba range, and exchange thoughts on how to take the people of Razeba forward.
Speaking on the illustrated activity that action speaks louder than words, he emphasized that the main responsibility of parents today was to love and honor one another as couples.
He also shared two stories highlighting the role of parents in disciplining their children and the responsibility of each individual.
Highlighting that education was the need of the hour, he said education should not be confined to educational institutions alone, but parents should take equal responsibility to follow up with the lessons learnt in school.
He further challenged the parents to do away with being Sunday Christians and encouraged to have regular family prayers at home.
President of RPODU, Reo Dukru delivered the presidential address. A one minute silence was observed to pay tribute to the loss of five of its members in 2019-2021. The function was chaired by finance secretary of RPODU, Dezii Resiih. Special numbers were presented by Zhavame women Society Dimapur, Zelome welfare society Dimapur and Rachel Lea.
Pastor of CBC Toulazou village, Mosa Nukhu prayed for the new office bearers for the tenure 2022-24.
