LHSS Toluvi celebrates silver jubilee

Lampstand Higher Secondary School (LHSS) Toluvi village celebrated its silver jubilee on January 27 with Azheto Zhimomi, MLA as special guest.
A press release by PS to MLA stated that in his address, Azheto congratulated the school on attaining the milestone adding that due respect and appreciation should be paid to the pioneers for their vision to impart quality education.
He said that for effective nurturing of a child’s education and character, dedicated partnership of teacher and parents was necessary.
Azheto also emphasised on the importance of character moulding of children besides the academic learning adding that teachers and parents must share responsibility in imparting the students with values of good citizenship, civic sense, patriotism, respect for the leaders and elderly.
“Moulding the children in right direction will help the society to overcome all social evils and shun ism and disunity in the society,” said Azheto.
Earlier, jubilee memorial monolith was dedicated by WSBAK executive secretary Rev. Dr. Phughoto Aye and ANPSA president Nini Sekhose also graced the occasion.
