Apex tribal bodies of Nagaland have resolved not to attend the December 4 consultative meeting on Naga political issue until and unless the November 24, 2016 Nagaland Legislative Assembly’s Resolution pertaining to the ULB elections is revoked.
In a joint statement issued for and on behalf of all tribal hohos of Nagaland, Angami Public Organisation president, Dr. Vilhusa Seleyi and Chakhesang Public Organisation president, Kekhwengulo Lea informed that the decision was taken by the tribal hohos during the meeting held on October 31, 2017 at the Angami Public Organisation (APO) Hall, Kohima.
The signatories have therefore expressed regret that none of the tribal hohos will be attending the consultative meeting. It may be mentioned that the NLA speaker had convened the Nagaland Legislators’ Forum Consultative Meeting with the ex-parliamentarians and civil societies on Naga political issue at the RCEMPA, Jotsoma on December 4 at 11 a.m.
