The NPF, Mokokchung Division (TR-NP) held its annual executive meeting, Wednesday, at division office premise, with an equal turn out from all the 10 assembly constituencies of the district.
Addressing the party workers at the meeting, NPF Mokokchung division in-charge and advisor, Food & Civil Supplies, Nuklutoshi urged the Nagas to usher in a “common civil society platform”, to address a “solution” to the Naga political issue. He said that the division in the civil societies was hampering in giving out a clarion call to the factionalised NPGs to “unite”, for the final solution. Nuklutushi highlighted that the Nagaland Legislatures Forum had unitedly affirmed and has approached the government of India with the slogan, solution first and election next. He stated that election in Nagaland being very costly affair, an elected member may not be willing to step down if solution was offered after the election.
He also reiterated that the present Nagaland legislatures were willing to step down if the Government of India offered the “solution”, today, prior to the slated assembly election.
Nuklutushi said that once an honourable and acceptable solution to the Indo-Naga political issue had arrived, there would prevail peace in the land. He said peace would lead to development, by attracting investors to the rich laden resources, he added. This
would ultimately ease the frustration of unemployment felt by the youth of the day, he said. Nuklutushi said that the government was serious for the early “final solution”, and that the government needed the support of the people with a “united voice”.
Welcome speech was delivered by NPF Mkg. div., president Rongsenmongba and the political resolution adopted by the NPF Mokokchung division annual executive meeting was read out by resolution convenor, Aoshinang and accepted. Special songs were presented by Shilubenla and sisters while vice president central & ex-MLA R Lepden Lkr spoke on the topic- duties and responsibilities of party workers. Vote of thanks was proposed by NPF Mkg. div. vice president L Yanger and invocation by Ngati Baptist Church pastor, Rikum Lkr.
KIPHIRE: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Kiphire division held executive meeting at Hopongkyu Memorial Kiphire today.
Addressing the gathering minister for NH & Parliamentary affairs, G. Kaito Aye said that positive outcome of decision of the decision of Election Commission of India (ECI) was awaited. He said that whatever be the circumstances, unity among the party shall overcome all obstacles.
Minister for Power, C.Kipili Sangtam also appealed the party men to chose their representatives wisely as they were struggling to reach the advanced districts. Kipili also acknowledged the party workers for their selfless service and encouraged them to work harder to bring back stronger government again.
Lirimong Sangtam and Toshila Sangtam also spoke on behalf of the central office. The programme was chaired by president NPF Kiphire division, P.Lipongkyu Sangtam.
Welcome address was delivered by vice president NPF Kiphire division, Khaliba while vote of thanks was delivered by co-vice president NPF Kiphire, K.Tsipongse.
Short speeches were delivered by public leaders, Yangkhaba and Yangseo Sangtam and advisor NPF Kiphire, Lichokyu.
TUENSANG: Naga People’s Front Tuensang division held a party rally on November 22 at Tuensang town. The rally was attainted by 2379 (Two thousand three hundred seventy nine) delegates from the 7 (Seven) constituency, central office bearers (COB) central executive committee (CEC) division office bearers and elected members of Tuensang district.
A press release by NPF Tuensang division general secretary (Org & press) Yangdipi Sangtam stated that during the Rally some resolutions were adopted: The NPF party strongly resolved to stand behind the visionary and dynamic leadership of Neiphiu Rio president NPF and T.R Zeliang chief minister of Nagaland; The party resolved to urge the government of India to bring forward the Naga political problem to its logical conclusion without further loss of time; The rally also re-affirmed that NPF would return to power under Neiphiu Rio and T.R Zeliang.
