Director Peace Channel, Rev. Dr. C. P Anto has called upon everyone to pray for immediate solution and peaceful settlement on the Russia- Ukraine conflict.
Anto made this appeal while addressing the Holy Cross Parish women, Dimapur.
Highlighting on the crisis in Ukraine, Anto pointed out the role and importance of women in peace building. He stressed on the competency, power and nature of women in peace building citing various examples of international, nations and in Nagaland. In this connection, he called upon the women flock to be a part of peace building process in Nagaland. Further, Anto affirmed that Peace builders should possess the qualities of reconciling outlook in life, understanding, kind and caring. He therefore encouraged the women association to come together in support of each other, the government and non-government agencies to work towards promoting peace building in the community. “Without involving women in peace-building, we cannot lay the foundations for lasting peace. And without peace, there can be no sustainable development”, he stated.
