Security forces (SF) apprehend three with illegal areca nuts in Kohima

Security forces (SF) apprehended three individuals with illegal areca nuts in Kohima on March 15. According to PRO IGAR (N), based on a specific input, SF recovered 2500 kgs of areca nuts worth around Rs. 45 lakh.
The apprehended individuals along with the recovered items were handed over to Customs department, Kohima, for further investigation.
Meanwhile, SF on March 16 apprehended two individuals with illegal foreign cigarettes in Kohima and recovered 64 cartons of cigarettes worth around Rs 1.4 crore.
