Medical department Kohima has been undertaking Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) screening under the ongoing social health responsibility campaign in urban colonies of Kohima district.
According to a DIPR report, the campaign was held on March 17 at New Market Panchayat Hall, Bayavü Sub-Centre, Midland Panchayat Hall, and Lower Chandmari Panchayat Hall.
During the campaign, the colony authorities mobilised the age group of 30 years with known or unknown co-morbid status, pregnant women, and 30 years of age with the known co-morbid disease for Non-Communicable Diseases screening and medical intervention.
The identified patients were screened for Non-Communicable Diseases , co-morbid diseases and were given free medication through national urban health mission.
In this regard, the CMO Kohima has requested all the ward chairmen/authorities to cooperate and take responsibility in their respective colonies as per the session plan for the successful conduct of the campaign.
