Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) has shortlisted 26 players to undergo further training and scrutiny for Kohima District Team for the upcoming Dr T Ao Inter-District Tournament 2022.
The trial for the selection was held at IG Stadium, Kohima on Saturday.
A total of 58 players took part in the trial, out of which 26 were shortlisted. They will now undergo a two-week coaching after which the top 20 players will be selected to make up the final team to represent the district.
The Kohima district team will be led by Vizovor Liezietsu as the team coach, Visakholie Medoze as the assistant coach. While Azho Sophie will be the team manager, Zakietuolie Khrodi-assistant team manager and Zakielatuo Seletsu will be the team physio.
The trial matches were conducted by Kohima District Referees Association (KDRA) while the selection board members included Roko Angami, William Koso, Azho Sophie, Zakietuolie Khrodi, Viliebeizo Liezietsu, Vizovor Liezietsu and Visakholie Medoze.
