Block level assessment camp for CwSN

DIMAPUR: Samagra Shiksha Zunheboto IE (inclusive education) conducted a block level assessment camp for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) in the age group of 6-14 years in all the block levels, at EBRC from March 14-25.
In a press release, assistant district coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Zunheboto, P. Ahito Sema informed that the assessment team was led by Sesulu, state CIE coordinator as team leader and officials from District Mission Authority.
The team also included Sound Beatz Pvt Ltd. Delhi for hearing aids, TPORC Imphal for locomotor and ophthalmic assistant from medical superintendent, District Hospital Zunheboto.
Categories for assessment included visually impaired, hearing impaired and locomotor impaired. For severely disabled children with cerebral palsy were assisted and enrolled for Home Based Learning (HBL). SSN Zunheboto informed that at present, there were 32 CwSN enrolled for HBE in the district.
The attendance of CWSN included 15- Akuluto EBRC, 33-Zunheboto EBRC, 12- Satakha EBRC, 33-Aghunato EBRC & 28-Pughoboto EBRC.
Altogether, 121 CwSN were assisted in the district, both school going and non-school going.
