‘Meteorological report of Nagaland’ released

DIMAPUR: Department of Soil and Water Conservation (S&WC) secretary, K. Libanthung Lotha released a booklet titled, “Meteorological report of Nagaland 2021” in the secretary’s office chamber on Wednesday, in the presence of department officials.
In a press release, the department informed that in the opening remarks, joint director S&WC, Rongsenlemzung highlighted the importance of meteorological data for all agricultural related activities.
He said that in the light of the climate and water related threats and the fast pace at which climate is changing, it was of most pressing need not only to record but also document weather data.
The booklet was published by the Soil Survey & Land Use planning Wing of the department.
