Governor Nagaland Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has extended warm Good Friday and Easter greetings to all the citizens of the state.
In his message, Prof. Mukhi said Good Friday is a day of adoration and absolution. “It is a day of victory for good over evil,” he said.
Quoting the gospel: “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us all”, Prof. Mukhi said Jesus died on the Cross so that humankind can live in peace and harmony. While Easter celebrates the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ, governor called upon the citizens to remember that it symbolises ‘hope’.
Prof Mukhi also asked the citizens to renew their determination to follow His examples of peace, love and forgiveness.
Governor expressed hope that the celebration of Easter will renew us all with the assurance of hope, healing, salvation and everlasting joy. He also prayed that the true spirit of Good Friday be with all in thoughts and in action. Governor wished all a blessed Good Friday and a happy Easter.
